Our Story
Our Mission
Nichole was born in Austin, where she met Zach and always dreamed of finding land and an art studio to tend to and share for camping, resting, learning, teaching, and enjoying. We are now blessed to do it with our beautiful kids and have been growing together for twenty-five years now.
Our families have lived in Texas for eight generation
Nichole was born in Austin, where she met Zach and always dreamed of finding land and an art studio to tend to and share for camping, resting, learning, teaching, and enjoying. We are now blessed to do it with our beautiful kids and have been growing together for twenty-five years now.
Our families have lived in Texas for eight generations, before Texas was even Texas, and we enjoy sharing the beauty here. We are grateful to be the stewards of what we lovingly call Heart Seeds Forest, where we host gatherings, guests, and classes of all kinds, make art, and come to play.
In 2018 Nichole began studying herbalism with the Sacred Journey School of Herbalism and became passionate about sharing all about plants. She has especially loved learning about the loblolly pine trees that grace this land. In 2009 she left a career to raise their children at home, dabbled in homeschool co-op building, and found inspiration to backyard garden.
Zach has worked with motorcycles for 20 years, doing various levels of service within the industry. Previously, he served Austin in various ways, from cooking to landscaping, and building beautiful homes.

At Heart Seeds Forest, our mission is to provide a peaceful space to gather, camp, sleep, indoors or out, hike, enjoy nature, create, make art, and learn about herbal medicine and Texas plants.
